Dr. Chinyere Amazu is a Board-Certified Pediatrician and the Founder and Medical Director of Rose Pediatrics Care, established in June 2011. She earned her medical degree from the University of Ibadan Medical School in Ibadan, Nigeria in 1987, followed by an internship at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital in Enugu. She then completed a year of service with the Nigerian Railway Corporation in Lagos and spent four years practicing in private clinics before relocating to the United States in 1993.

Dr. Amazu completed her pediatric residency at Howard University Hospital and has since gained extensive experience across a wide range of healthcare settings. She spent a decade in a large primary care practice, served as a pediatric hospitalist at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center, and worked as an attending physician at UM Capital Region Medical Center. Her background also includes caring for patients in urgent care and emergency room environments. She currently maintains hospital affiliations with UM Capital Region Medical Center and MedStar Southern Maryland. Dr. Amazu is a member of both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children's National Medical Center Physician Network. With decades of clinical experience, she is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to children and families in the community.

Dr. Amazu founded Rose Pediatrics Care with the mission of providing compassionate, family-centered care. This philosophy is captured in her guiding motto: "Caring for your kids like ours." In addition to her clinical work, she mentors the next generation of healthcare providers by offering internships to undergraduate students pursuing careers in medicine.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Amazu enjoys time with her loving husband, two children and beautiful grandchild. What she values most about pediatrics is the joy of seeing her patients healthy and smiling, knowing she has played a role in their growth and well-being.
